Ryan writes and lives on the outskirts of Culver City and on the inskirts of Los Angeles. He supposes you could call that the hemline of both cities, but that may be an awkward way of putting it. He’ll let you come up with your own metaphor. The internet is, after all, about democracy.

Award-winning screenwriter/playwright Ryan Meyer has written over 20 pieces for both stage and screen. Although Los Angeles born and raised, Ryan spent several years in the San Francisco bay area where he was not only a principal writer for the Berkeley-based Super/Funny/Comedy/Group, but also had several of his one-acts produced in various local theaters. In addition to placing in the semifinal rounds of several screenwriting competitions (Slamdance teleplay: The Strangers; American Accolades: Sex Offenders) and currently placing in the 99th percentile of the First Cut Film Series with The Space Between Us (co-written with director Adam Burr), he was also a SONY/TAG fellow for 2007/2008 through Loyola Marymount University and is professionally mentored by accomplished screenwriter Lem Dobbs. Ryan is an honors graduate in Film Studies from UC Berkeley and has an MFA in Screenwriting from LMU, where he was selected for the Dean’s Award in Screenwriting.
