Ryan writes and lives in Alameda, an easy-breezy island community in the beating heart of the San Francisco Bay. If you’re passing through, maybe he’ll buy you a tasty beverage of your choosing. Maybe.

For a more “professional” biography, see below:

Award-winning screenwriter/playwright Ryan Meyer has written over 20 pieces for both stage and screen. Although Los Angeles born and raised, Ryan has spent several years in the San Francisco bay area where he was not only a principal writer for the Berkeley-based Super/Funny/Comedy/Group, but also had several of his one-acts produced in various local theaters. In addition to placing in the semifinal rounds of several screenwriting competitions (Slamdance teleplay: The Strangers; American Accolades: Sex Offenders; First Cut Film Series, 99th percentile: The Space Between Us, co-written with director Adam Burr), he was also a SONY/TAG fellow  for 2007/2008 through Loyola Marymount University and was professionally mentored by accomplished screenwriters Lem Dobbs and Steve Conrad. Ryan is an honors graduate in Film Studies from UC Berkeley and has an MFA in Screenwriting from LMU, where he was selected for the Dean’s Award in Screenwriting.
